Chasing The Dream

I used to be scared of light from the camera,
used to be scared of standing on a high tower,
now am scared of self doubt,
self doubt is like a thief that comes
in the night to take away your properties,
packing them in large quantities,
cuz it comes to your mind and take away
your dreams,
am not talking about the dream
when you close your eyes to sleep,
I mean the one you want to fulfil.

One of the greatest pain in life is getting to
the end of your life and realising that you
never truly lived because at that point,
what you will regret is not the things you did
but rather the things you didn't do.
"The risk you didn't take ''
"The career you didn't pursue ''
"The trip you didn't take ''
but then you can't go back, no replay,
no start over, it's gone!
You see everybody is successful in life,
It's just that some succeeds in believing they
can't do it while some succeeds in believing
they can do it,
some wanted to do it but never did it while
some actually did it, not because they were
not capable but because they opened the door
for self doubt.

We all have a gift, a talent deep down in us
to bring out to this UNIVERSE,
" uni'' meaning one, "verse'' meaning song,
we all have a part to play in this song.
criticism and struggle are prerequisite for greatness,
TRUE!
but remember " difficult roads often lead to
beautiful destinations'' and it's better to feel pain on
a journey to success than the regret of not doing
what you want to do.
So that risk you wanted to take, take it,
that trip you wanted to take, take it and send me
the pictures because the goal is to die with
memories and not dreams.
